Megan Dang is a Korean-Vietnamese-American writer born and raised in the Asian suburbs of Orange County. With a background in visual art, she gravitates toward concept stories with vivid characters that fly off the page.

In addition to graduating summa cum laude from USC with a B.F.A. in Screenwriting, Megan wrote satirical articles for The Sack of Troy, USC’s parody newspaper, as well as short stories for Descent Magazine, an Asian-American literary magazine, which gave her a deep understanding of the intersection between comedy and cultural identity.

She has also interned at multiple mission-driven production companies, including Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and Viola Davis’s JuVee Productions. Her work has been recognized by USC’s Undergraduate Writer’s Conference, First Look Awards, and Feminist Media Festival.

Equipped with a twisted sense of humor and a passion for female-led narratives, she writes about weird girls trying to keep their heads above water—and not drown each other in the process.
