Diverso is a student-run nonprofit that opens doors in the industry for underrepresented student screenwriters. The college students running the organization, from all over the country, work together to raise money, select fellows, create professional programming, and pay aspiring writers while they take on unpaid writing opportunities to get them “in the door.”
Please support Diverso by making a tax-deductible contribution. Your support helps cover things like:
$50 - Fellow Transportation
Your gift will help us reimburse Fellows for their transportation to interviews, general meetings, and other professional development opportunities.
$120 - Software Subscriptions
Your gift will cover our monthly software subscriptions for Squarespace, CanvaPro, Gsuite, Web Domain, and PostScanMail.
$300 - 2 Week Stipend for our Student Managers
Your gift will cover two weeks of pay for our program managers– who are also full time students. This enables them to run Diverso and not take on other part time work, unrelated to their professional development.
$600 - 1 Week of a BWIF Fellow Stipend
Your gift will cover a weeks’ worth of one stipend for a talented Black screenwriter.
$1,500 - Send a Fellow to Sundance
Your gift will cover airfare and meal stipends to send a Fellow to Sundance (and we’ll help them couch surf).
$3,000 - 2 Minority Report Program Stipends
Your gift will cover two Minority Report Fellows for the duration of their program, allowing them to focus on their craft and take their first steps into the industry.
