Alyce Yang is an artist and student studying film and global development studies at the University of Virginia. She spent her early childhood years in Hong Kong and a large portion of her summers catching bugs and people-watching in Beijing. As an active member of various political organizations on campus, Alyce approaches her work with a sharp sensitivity towards community organizing and movement building. Her global development studies major is a self-designed curriculum exploring the history of Chinese labor movements through the lens of film.

Alyce is interested in reading and developing scripts. Some of her favorite directors include Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Edward Yang, Hirokazu Kore-eda, and Stephen Chow. She has worked as a development intern for Blumhouse, Killer Films, Rideback, Film Nation, and Plan B Entertainment. In her free time, she can be found in the darkroom, giving museum tours, or hosting a radio show.
